Recovery Methods Explained

Wage Garnishments

In Massachusetts, you can collect up to 15% of a debtor's gross wages until your judgment is paid in full. Many debtors who seemed uncollectable before become immediately cooperative to arrange installment payments once they're notified that garnishment is inevitable or already begun.

Bank Account Levies

We call the debtor's bank to freeze all accounts belonging to or connected to the judgment debtor. State and federal laws require that the judgment debtor must have $125 minimum in funds; any amount beyond $125 is transferred to the court's account where it can be seized and distributed to the judgment creditor.

Real Estate Liens

If the debtor owns property, we record a lien—even against a homestead—so you're first in line when the property sells or refinances.

Receiverships

For corporate debtors, we can have a receiver take over their business operations in MA, UT, NV & IL to seize and liquidate assets for the benefit of creditors.

Supplementary Process

Not sure where the debtor's assets are? We compel the debtor to appear, testify under oath, and produce documents regarding their assets and income. You'll know exactly what they have and where to find it. That trial lasts targeted levels.
